PhD Candidate, Harvard University
I am currently a PhD Candidate in the English Department at Harvard University, where I study Modern Drama. My dissertation, Somnambulist Drama: Boredom on and of the Stage, 1887-1957, examines the symbiotic histories of theatrical innovation and boring aesthetics from Chekhov to Beckett.
At Harvard, I am the Executive Director of the Mellon School of Theater and Performance Research and coordinate the Theater and Performance Colloquium. Outside of my research, I make theater with the New York-based Cacolet Collective and the Durham, NC-based Delta Boys.
